America's Favorite Team
In 2009, the Dallas Cowboys will call this exciting, state-of-the-art stadium its new home. Located in Arlington, in the middle of the Metroplex, this enormous structure will seat approximately 80,000 but can be expandable to 100,000 for major events, like a Super Bowl (which will be held here in February 2011). The retractable-roof stadium will incorporate some of the historical features of Texas Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys for the past 35 years. There will be distinct arches spanning the length of the stadium, a hole in the roof when the dome is open and open-air end-zone plazas, which can give the stadium an outdoor feel. AlliedPRA Dallas/Fort Worth can assist in planning your exclusive event as early as July of next year. Have your guests experience the new stadium even before the Dallas Cowboys play their first home game!
Cowboys & Culture: Revitalized
Fort Worth — now the 18th-largest city in the United States — is booming, with tourism bringing approximately 9.5 million visitors and contributing nearly $1.3 billion in direct spending annually to the city's economy. Fort Worth's revitalized downtown area is an award-winning model of urban planning. New major developments include the expansion and renovation of the Fort Worth Convention Center and the ground-breaking of its new headquarter hotel, The Omni Fort Worth. Expected to open later this year, this first-class, 608-room property will be adjacent to the Fort Worth Convention Center. The plan calls for Omni to build a $115 million, 38-story hotel with 48,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, two ballrooms and other first-class amenities.
Grapevine, fast becoming the premier tourism and hospitality destination in North Texas, is a vibrant and charming city blessed by natural beauty, moderate year-round temperatures, and a population that embraces modern and historic Texas. This resort destination is not only home to beautiful Lake Grapevine and the DFW International Airport, but to several unique wineries and vineyards offering a variety of exclusive event options including wine tasting, bottling and educational sessions. With a total economic impact of more than $170 million a year, the Texas wine industry is deeply rooted in the Lone Star State's future. Currently, Texas has more than 85 wineries and is the nation's fifth-largest wine-producing state.
