Welcome to Clearwater
Clearwater, the smallest city within the Tampa Bay Area, was originally home to the Native American Tocabaga people. Clearwater's recognition as a tourist destination started with the opening of the Belleview Biltmore in 1897. Population increases assisted with Clearwater becoming a city in 1915 and in that same year a bridge was built connecting the then named Clear Water Harbor to the modern day Clearwater Beach.
Clearwater is home to a variety of tourist locations including the Church of Scientology's worldwide headquarters, The Philadelphia Phillies' spring training facility Bright House Field, the historic Royalty Theater, and of course it's very own, Clearwater Beach. Pier 60, which is the central hub of Clearwater Beach, is home to the famous nightly event "Sunset at Pier 60", where tourists can enjoy live entertainment and street performers throughout the evening. Bring your next meeting to Clearwater and experience "The White Sand Paradise that is Clearwater Beach".
