New SoMa Restaurant: Twenty Five Lusk

Located in San Francisco’s SOMA district, Twenty Five Lusk is a modern restaurant and lounge offering New American Cuisine, a variety of aromatic fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails.  Driven by a ‘farm to table’ and sustainability approach, it certainly captivates San Francisco’s ‘go green lovers’ who are not only fans of eating what’s in season, but who also appreciate aesthetics.  Built in 1917, this historic building was originally used as a meatpacking and smokehouse facility and has maintained its warehouse-feel with brick and timber touches.  Trendy, sophisticated, yet also relaxed, Esquire Magazine has awarded it both “Design of the Year” and “Best New Restaurant” in 2011.  This place is perfect for a private lunch or dinner with colleagues, or simply a quick bite after work with friends.  It is designed to be an accessible dining destination for guests to feel comfortable on any occasion.

New Mission Restaurant: Beast & The Hare

This new neighborhood gastro pub in the Mission has foodies lining up at its door!  Chef Ian Marks and Partner Dylan Denickes have put together a mouth-watering Cal-American menu that has small and big bites (including a list of artisan beers and full-bodied wines). From Cider Glazed Lamb Chops to Avocado Bruschette, this is the place to eat.  Marks is an expert, as he spent a few years working under master charcutier Taylor Boetticher at Fatted Calf and then ran the kitchen at the Ferry Plaza's Hog Island Oyster Bar for almost five years.  A friendly crowd with a rustic, laidback environment, this is certainly a great choice for group dining.  The restaurant name alone has to grab your attention!
