Tickets Tapas Bar…the Talk of the Town in Barcelona!

The hottest ticket in town, gourmet-wise, is brothers Albert and Ferran Adrià's new Tickets Tapas Bar in the city's theatre district.  Tickets Tapas Bar is like a theatre experience with customers and food centre stage.  The global concept of the bar is to link food to a way of understanding life; a unique way of making the participants part of the overall dining experience.  Tickets is not your traditional tapas bar.  Dishes are innovative, sometimes shockingly so, as one would expect from the chef celebrated for his avant-garde culinary ideas at the forefront of the molecular gastronomy movement.  Small plates include hedgehog with avocado and mint jelly; baby cuttlefish with onion cooked in ink and almond pasta; grilled watermelon with tomato concasse.  Tickets is composed of multiple bars; one serves traditional tapas, another serves specialty drinks and another offers more modern dishes that give free reign to creativity, each as individual as Barcelona itself.  The cherry on top is the scrumptious Dolca dessert bar serving magical desserts in a wonderland setting.

Tickets Tapas Bar is a highly-entertaining, cultural dining experience, and right next door - with access through the tapas bar itself - we find 41°, a cocktail bar serving classics with a twist.  With no limits for imagination, 41° is described as a magnificent volcano of creativity, ideas and hopes.  Offering both classical cocktails and more modern, contemporary ones, 41° also serves "signature" appetizers and smaller plates which complement the cocktails, including Parmesan ice cream, Iberian ham airbaguette, and spherical mini-mozarellas.
